Balance and Curtin University partnership awarded $900,000 ARENA grant
- Increasing the uptake of solar photovoltaics in strata residential developments

Balance, in partnership with Curtin University, CRC for Low Carbon Living, Landcorp, City of Fremantle and Western Power have been successful in their application for a $900,000 ARENA Grant to implement this project. The project will develop governance models to allow shared solar photovoltaics (PV), battery and monitoring systems to be used in medium density apartments. The governance models will be tested at 50 units of the White Gum Valley development in Perth.

Mike Laughton-Smith chairing the Remote Area Supply Conference

On the 23rd of March, Mike Laughton Smith, Business Development Principal for Balance, is chairing the 2nd day of the Remote Area Supply Conference in Melbourne. This conference is covering "Managing off-grid energy, new technologies and renewable energy system applications". Mike will also speak about some of Balance’s projects and experience on remote and off-grid renewable energy supply.
